Arrest warrant issued for Carmelo Mendoza in Taylorsville shooting

The Salt Lake County District Attorney filed homicide charges against Carmelo Mendoza, who allegedly killed his co-worker and injured his co-workers wife, according to a KSL news report.

Carmela Mendoza is accused of killing Lopez Chavez in front of their children.  The two men worked together and reportedly Mendoza was upset over something at work.  For the original story, click here.

"The victim, Mr. Lopez Chavez, asked the defendant to be removed from his work crew and transferred to another crew," explained Alicia Cook, spokeswoman for the Salt Lake County District Attorney's Office, and KSL reported. 

Salt Lake City Police are looking for Mendoza, and believe that he may have fled to Mexico.
