Arrest warrant issued for 79-year-old singer Pat Boone

You wouldn’t normally consider singer Pat Boone as one wanted by the law; but on March 31, MSN reported that an arrest warrant has been issued for the iconic crooner.

A Los Angeles judge issued the arrest warrant after Boone failed to show at a scheduled court hearing.

Turns out, the man who rivaled Ricky Nelson and Elvis in the 1950 music charts is involved in a lawsuit regarding a condo he bought on a luxury cruise line.

The company building the cruise ship was sued by its investors, but lost that lawsuit.

When the company lost its case, the judge overseeing the lawsuit ordered that company to “pay more than $800,000 in attorney's fees, but the lawyer's haven't gotten their loot.”

Instead of the company coming up with the $800,000, the lawyers representing the company are trying to squeeze the money out of the folks who bought condos on the ship – one of those folks being the 79-year-old gospel singing Boone.

The lawyers subpoenaed Pat to court, but he was a no show, so the judge issued the arrest warrant.

TMZ reported that the reason Boone missed the court date is because he was vacationing in Hawaii with his wife.
