Arrest made in shooting at tattoo parlor that left 1 employee dead, 1 injured

A 22-year-old man was arrested Sunday in a shooting earlier this month that left one employee dead and another critically wounded at a tattoo parlor in southwest Atlanta.

Investigators said they were able to obtain enough probable cause to charge Mr. Clifford Harris with murder, aggravated assault and armed robbery in the incident.

He was transported to the Fulton County jail where he was being held without bond, according to Atlanta police.

The shooting happened on Jan. 16 at Tattoos & Piercings at 806 Lee St., police said.

The investigation began around 6 p.m. that Wednesday night when officers responded to the parlor after getting a call about a person shot.

When they arrived at the scene they found two victims, one of whom was already dead, police spokesman Officer John Chafee had said.

“One male who appeared to be in his late 30s was deceased at the scene and the second male who appeared to be in his mid-20s was transported to Grady Hospital in critical condition with a gunshot wound to the chest,” Officer Chafee said.
