This article is part of a series exploring aromatherapy and essential oil recipes that address emotional issues related to specific chakras.

The throat chakra is the center of communication and self expression. Blockage of the throat chakra is marked by emotional domination and distance, manipulation and lies, confusion due to being misunderstood or misinterpreted, verbal abuse, loss of self control (excessive yelling), excessive criticism (blocks creativity) and gossiping.  Internally you may reel frustrated and disillusioned, or you may feel an urge to express your emotional needs and feelings.

The recipes throughout this series appear in The Aromatherapy Recipe Handbook by noted bioesthetician and aromatherapist, Francoise Rapp. Click here to join her Facebook community page.
