Aromatherapy for chakras: sacral chakra recipes

The sacral chakra is located in the abdomen between the navel and the top of the pelvis.  It is the center of creativity, open mindedness and receptivity to new ideas in the energy body.  The following recipes address artistic creativity and emotional release and control. 

Creativity and Artistry

Enhance Artistic Imagination

  • 7 drops orange
  • 5 drops jasmine
  • 4 drops helychrisum

Emotional Balance

Let go of old emotions

  • 7 drops grapefruit
  • 6 drops lemon
  • 6 drops lemongrass

Spiritual cleansing

  • 7 drops lemon
  • 6 drops frankincense
  • 6 drops grapefruit
  • 2 drops rose otto

Open the heart and emotions

  • 6 drops bergamot
  • 6 drops grapefruit
  • 3 drops rose otto

Reduce over-sensitivity

  • 6 drops lavender
  • 3 drops Roman chamomile
  • 3 drops neroli

Open the heart and emotions

  • 6 drops bergamot
  • 6 drops grapefruit
  • 3 drops rose otto

Emotional Cleansing - release and open up

  • 8 drops grapefruit
  • 6 drops orange
  • 3 drops petitgrain
