Now he is proclaiming his love for her in a new interview with a German newspaper, according to an ABC News report dated Jan. 22, 2013.
Schwarzenegger revealed that he spent the Christmas holiday with Shriver and their children. He said he hopes that he and his wife can reconcile. Shriver filed for divorce after learning about Schwarzenegger's affair with their housekeeper. Sure, Arnold loves Maria, but relationships also need trust and fidelity to work.
The "Governator" has admitted to affairs with other women during his 25 years of marriage and the years leading up to their wedding. One of those women was Brigitte Nielsen. The former governor was living with Maria Shriver at the time; they were not yet married. The "Terminator" star disclosed the scandalous affair in his book, and he has given interviews in which he admits that his affairs with Nielsen and his housekeeper were not his only infidelities. In his memoir "Total Recall," 65-year-old Schwarzenegger wrote that his "outrageous affair" with Nielsen cemented his intentions to marry his wife.
