Her character is named Latasha Durant, and she is a tough mother of three that tries to have fun in her life while keeping everyone in her family in line.
Henry said the following about his character and the series, according to Broadway.com:
"I play Corporal Quincy Montclair and my wife is [played by] Ashanti. Reuniting feels so good. We’re having a lot of fun shooting in Charleston, South Carolina. I really really love it. [Quincy] is a great guy: He's a family man—he's got three kids —he’s a good cook. He’s been in the army a little while now, so he’s been a little hardened. His mission is to teach the newbies the ropes."
Ashanti and Joshua Henry worked together in the past in The Wiz. Fans are buzzing about this series on social media. One fan said the following on Twitter recently:
I can't wait to get through the first few episodes of #ArmyWives. I'm not thrilled with the killing off CJ. Death was unnecessary.
