Armored Transport from 'Gatecrash' is a safe limited pick

Featured in the "Boros Battalion" intro pack, Armored Transport is one of the newest artifact cards from Wizards of the Coast's latest expert "Magic: The Gathering" expansion set "Gatecrash."

Armored Transport - 3
Artifact Creature - Construct (Common)
Prevent all combat damage that would be dealt to Armored Transport by creatures blocking it.

"If only our jails were as secure."

Because Armored Transport can be played in any colored deck it makes a safe pick in limited formats. It doesn't shine like other three drops in the set, however it can help add support to aggressive beat-down strategies like Boros and Gruul.

Armored Transport plays an interesting role in combat. Any of your opponent's creatures can chump block it, however they won't be able to kill it. In Boros decks Amored Transport's immunity to combat damage will help ensure you keep three creatures on the battlefield to enable powerful Battalion creatures such as Firefist Striker or Boros Elite.

It's important to remember that Armored Transport still deals damage to your opponent's creatures. That makes any Bloodrush cards you may have drafted like Ghor-Clan Rampager, Rubblehulk, or Crocanura into unexpected removal spells.

How will you use Armored Transport?
