Anyone who ever worried about a parent can understand the plight of Kerri Kasem, daughter of 'Top 40' host, Casey Kasem.

According to Newser.com, Casey Kasem's kids are in the middle of trying to remove the sickly Casey Kasem from hs wife, Jean. The children of Kasem have been trying to remove him from her for several months now.

"It's a sad situation," says San Francisco resident, Alice Marshall.

Now the children are thinking to use armed guards.

Kasem's daughter, Kerri, was recently awarded the role of Kasem's temporary conservator and she wants to remove her father from the clutches of Jean and have him put in a hospital where they can see him, reports the New York Daily News.

As a result, Kerri Kasem's team has filed with the courts to have her father transferred and has asked that Jean Kasem give up her husband's passport to the court. Kerri also feels that having a team of armed guards on hand will keep things running smoothly.

"I’m very worried that Jean ... might make a break to leave the country," Kerri Kasem tells press.

"They’re a ferry boat ride away from Canada and a few miles from an Indian reservation. If he’s moved again, his life might be in danger. I’m very worried."

Jean Kasem's team, however, is not accepting the order lightly and her team has objected. There will, therefore, be a hearing today, reports the Los Angeles Daily News.

That hearing will determine whose decision will win out and whether Jean will be made to cooperate with Kerri's wishes.

Kerri says that Jean has been moving her father around to different hospitals to prevent his children and other family members from seeing him.
