Arm knitting has been working its way through the knitting community for over a year now. It has reached the tipping point and has gone viral. The best part about it is, you only need yarn, no needles required.

So, roll up your sleeves. If you are a knitter, it will be intuitive. For those that aren't... once you see the results you may just decide to advance your skills and try knitting with needles. You will have results in half an hour. Practice makes perfect. If your first one comes out to loose or to thin, you can frog it (knitting term for ripping it out). Try using several strands of yarn to result in a chunky scarf or cowl. Why not arm knit with 'Radiant Orchid', the color of the year for 2014.

This is a great way for tweens and teens to learn a craft. There is still time to create a beautiful handmade gift. Enjoy the slide show to see how different yarns and yarn weights work up. Want to try it for yourself? Simply Maggie has a video that will show you how easy and quick it is.
