An Arkansas dog who survived the tornadoes that devastated many communities on April 27 is now up for adoption. Facebook reported the story May 13.

Olivia, a Rottweiller mix, along with her five younger brothers, were taken to Maumelle Animal Services after an owner surrender. The staff has already found new homes for everyone except this beautiful girl. The reason for their being surrendered by their owner-eating chickens to survive.

Yes, this lucky canine family was hungry after the storm, and helped themselves to some fresh meat.

Olivia doesn't understand any of this. She was only trying to survive in a world turned upside down. Waiting and hoping her owner would find her and her siblings and take them home.

Olivia needs a loving home, where she'll be praised for her survival instincts, rather than be judged by them.

Olivia is about 1 year old. She has been vaccinated and fixed and is ready for a new home now. Olivia is at Maumelle Animal Services. Please call 851-6219 or fill out an online adoption form at
