Arizona threatens to cut off power to Los Angeles

Shea Walsh/NCTA

Arizona Corporation Commissioner Gary Pierce sent a letter Tuesday to Los Angeles Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa daring him to carry out his bogus race-baiting vendetta against Arizona for expecting immigrants to follow rules.

In the letter, he warned that boycott wars are bad for both sides, but said he will "be happy to encourage Arizona utilities to renegotiate your power agreements."

Pierce added:

I am confident that Arizona's utilities would be happy to take those electrons off your hands...If, however, you find that the City Council lacks the strength of its convictions to turn off the lights in Los Angeles and boycott Arizona power, please reconsider the wisdom of attempting to harm Arizona's economy.

I have to agree with Ann Coulter at this point and start referring to Arizona as "my future home state."

What can I say......Teddy Roosevelt, who sadly was a Social Progressive, still said it best:

"Walk softly and carry a big stick."

Arizona is asking the LA City Council and the Mayor, utilizing the Utilities Issue:

    "Can you hear us now?"

Social Progressives are basically, deaf, dumb, and blind.....to any reality, any Rule of Law, the Constitution where it doesn't suit them, and to common sense.

Arizona is truly a Stalwart in the battle against SP stupidity, cupidity, and rigidity.

They don't believe in compromise: so let's start using larger and larger sticks, until we beat them into submission, because trying to be reasonable with them simply doesn't work.

We must all say to California: "Can you hear us now?"

Cheers and keep up the quality reporting, despite the SP dweebs trying to put you down.

    Cheers from Sagebrushland Wyoming.

California had already made so many good decisions in the past, we should all just rely on their opinions for our own, yes?! California was already off my list for working and living due to their poor economic decisions...now they'll never see a dime of my money for vacation, products, or anything else (of my own volition).

As sad as it is that good people must suffer for the City of Los Angeles' liberalidiotic tendencies, I agree that Pierce is sending the right message. Enforcing the best interests of the residents of the state in the face of ever-increasing costs and manpower issues makes nothing but sense (and let's only give lip-service to the fact that its in the CONSTITUTION of the U.S. and Arizona). I hope the folks in Hell-A can see clear to pull their heads out of the mire and understand that it could go better for them too, if they'd insist on similar measures...

I make it a point to buy whatever I can on-line from compaines that do not collect California sales tax.

    Arizona!!!!!! ROCKS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
By the way California, with that 15 billion$$$$$ deficit, you might want to think about the issue of getting the credit to buy power elsewhere, of course with the hot air resources at your disposal, you might consider wind turbines.

it seems that LA OWNS the power that it gets from Arizona...LA has ownership of parts of 2 electric Arizona plants...it's not Arizona power to begin with...IT'S LA POWER, not Arizona power...LA gets a say in where that Arizona power that it OWNS goes!

I guess this shows that, when it comes to STATES adopting STATE laws (and the issue of their own enforcement of those laws), each state should MIND ITS OWN BUSINESS!
