Arizona State's Bubba Jenkins talks to TheOpenMat.com about Cael, the upcoming season and beyond

Of all the current college wrestlers to interview right now, Bubba Jenkins may be one of the best choices.

TheOpenMat.com (TOM) has just posted a question-and-answer session with the former Penn State mat star, who, after months of speculation, chose Arizona State as the place to finish his collegiate mat career.

Jenkins, a 2008 NCAA Division I runner-up (who lost to Brent Metcalf of the University of Iowa in the 149-pound finals) has plenty to say to TOM on a wide range of topics, including:

> His goals for the upcoming season with the Sun Devils, and plans for wrestling beyond graduation (MMA? Freestyle? Coaching?)
> Who he looks forward to wrestling this year
> His most memorable match -- and why
> What he thinks of the possibility of facing off against former teammate David Taylor
> His feelings about his former coach, Cael Sanderson... and what (if anything) positive he took away from his time at Penn State

There's some startling stuff here. For wrestling fans, it's always refreshing when an athlete speaks his mind as honestly as Bubba Jenkins has in this TOM interview. And that makes this must reading.
