The Arizona Humane Society’s 12th Annual Telethon was broadcast on Saturday August 14th from 1:30 to 4:30 p.m. on ABC15. The Telethon, hosted by long-time KTAR radio personality Pat McMahon showcased AHS adoptable pets and local celebrities and taught viewers about the many vital programs and services provided by Arizona Humane.
For the fifth year in a row, Go Daddy, headquartered in Scottsdale, Arizona, has been involved with the Telethon, for the last two years as the title sponsor for the event. This year Go Daddy matched all online donations made during the Telethon to give $100,000, pushing the grand total raised to $ 316,600.00. Go Daddy Founder and CEO Bob Parsons and his family have two border terriers, Max and Chief.
The Arizona Humane Society’s mission is to improve the lives of animals, alleviate their suffering, and elevate their status in society. They safeguard, rescue, shelter, heal, adopt and advocate for animals in need, while inspiring community action and compassion on their behalf.
