Arizona boyfriend killing case update: Jodi Arias shocking testimony (video)

The Arizona boyfriend killing case continues to make headlines in the UK and the US.

On Monday, Jodi Arias, 32, told jurors that she killed her lover, Travis Alexander, after waking up and finding him having sex with her, the Seattle Post Intelligencer reports. Arias faces the death penalty if convicted of killing Alexander in June 2008

Arias testified that she had Alexander had a volatile relationship and that he was abusive.

The case has made headlines in the UK, the Daily Mail headline today read, "Jodi Arias testifies that Travis Alexander 'made her wear boy's Spiderman underwear, raped her while she was sleeping and paid her to be his maid'

But prosecutors say that Arias killed Alexander in a jealous rage. Police say Arias slashed him 27 times, slit his through and shot him in the head.

Arias is maintaining that she had to kill Alexander in self-defense after telling police at first that she had nothing to do with his killing. She says now that she had to fight for her life and was forced to kill her boyfriend.

The case is being televised live. Click here for a live link to that video as carried by the Arizona Republic newspaper.
