The latest rumors surrounding the upcoming season of “The Bachelor” indicate that Chris Soules may not be guaranteed a spot. Radar Online reports on Tuesday that Arie Luyendyk Jr. could be the next bachelor. Although fans still believe Soules has a higher chance of appearing on the next show, Luyendyk Jr. could surprise them.

Both Soules and Luyendyk Jr. have stayed interested in the ABC programs and have shown an interest in becoming the next bachelor. Fans are already forming groups to show their support for the farmer and driver. Luyendyk Jr. has been paying attention to season 10 of “The Bachelorette” and has declared it the year of the scarf. Likewise, Soules has also allegedly been following the reality programs and considering his options.

The farmer and the driver may have to think about other competition because ABC is rumored to be looking at multiple men. Andi Dorfman’s season provides a possible pool of candidates, and Soules may not be the only choice selected by producers. They are still in the process of going through the lists, interviewing people and visiting their homes.

Marquel Martin has been suggested as another candidate for “The Bachelor” next season, and he has already stated he would agree to the idea. Fans have pointed out that he would be the first African American bachelor on this ABC program. It is not clear if producers are still pursuing him because he has accepted the chance to join “Bachelor in Paradise.”

Soules, Luyendyk Jr. and Martin may have unexpected competition in the form of the host of the reality show. Although producers will probably skip this choice for next season, host Chris Harrison has been suggested as a possibility. He is careful not to rule out the idea completely, but it appears that ABC is focused on others right now.
