When you send your nominations include the athlete, name of the school, stats for the week of the nomination.
2014 spring season- Week 6- May 26th-May 31st
Arianna McKinnon-PVHS- softball- Had three hits, including a double, and three RBI. She was also the winning pitcher with 13 strikeouts in an 11-4 win over Stearns. She also had eight strikeouts in a 12-8 victory over Mattanawcook academy, she also had two hits. She had seven strikeouts in a 14-1 win over Searsport, plus had a base hit and two RBI and ended the game in the 5th inning.
It is the second athlete of the week honor for McKinnon. She also earned AOW when she scored five goals to lead the Howlers to a girls soccer victory.
McKinnon and the Howlers are 14-0 with two games remaining in the regular season.
Becca Kelley- Central- softball- Pitched a four hitter and struck out 11 in 4-1 win over Dexter. Allowed only two runs in five innings in 13-7 victory over George Stevens.
Olivia Smith- Calais- softball- Had four hits, including three doubles and five RBI, she was also the winning pitcher in 20-0 victory over Lee.
Kassidy Seeley- Washington Academy- softball- pitched a one hitter and allowed only one walk and struck out 11 in the circle plus had three hits and three RBI in 14-1 victory over Narraguagus.
Jessicca Girsa- Stearns- softball- Pitched a one hitter, struck out six, plus had two hits and two RBI in 13-1 win over Schenck.
Karli Theberge- Hermon- softball- Went 5-7 in 2 wins vs.Central 2 doubles and 2 RBI. Went 2-2 with a double and an rbi in win vs. Ellsworth Total 7-9 ( .778 avg. ) w/3 doubles - now batting 27-43 (.628 ) for the season
Pitched 2 perfect innings of relief and a complete game 2-hit shut-out vs. Central. Has now allowed 1 ER in 51 IP ( 0.14 era for season )
