Arianna Huffington vs. Obama vs. 'jobs crisis': No plan to address unemployment

Sunday morning, April 7, Arianna Huffington spoke out, blasting the Obama administration for ignoring what she called the "jobs crisis" when she joined a panel on ABC's "This Week" to discuss the economy. Huffington lamented that while main street American citizens are facing a "real jobs crisis," the Obama administration did not "have a plan to address the jobs crisis... The urgency of the jobs crisis is not reflected in the president's budget."

She spoke of a "disconnect" between the real crisis, which in her opinion were "jobs" and Obama's priorities. Huffington ticked off statistics, which included a 64% increase in suburban poverty questioning why "the administration is ignoring this crisis," and instead, "are prioritizing deficit reduction."

Huffington isn't the only Obama supporter to publicly sound off about how they feel Obama is ignoring the expectations of the base that put him into office. Earlier this week, liberal Joe Klein also had a warning for Obama following the administration's announcement that they were breaking the ObamaCare promise to provide small businesses with a group of healthcare plans.

Klein blasted the administration's "incompetence" because "until 2015, at least," the administration said, small businesses would only have one choice. Klein was outraged and reminded the administration that they had now had "years" to implement their promises. He concluded that if ObamaCare failed to deliver on its promises, all Democrats would pay the price for Obama's "incompetence" in the next election.

"And while the Democrats are feeling pretty smug these days, given the overwhelming silliness of the Republicans, the President may be paving the way for a conservative revival — if ObamaCare turns out to be as nasty a mess," wrote Klein on his blog, quoting Steve Brill, his fellow Times columnist.
