Sony recording artist and Grammy winner, Ariana Grinblat and her husband, Lev recently opened Ariana Soho on Houston Street. Members of the media were invited to an exclusive tasting on Thursday night.

Russian-American multi-platinum R&B/pop singer, Ariana, signed with Sony Music Russia in 2000. Born in Houston, Texas to Russian-born parents. The family lived both in the states and in Russia. In 2008, Ariana Grinblat married Lev Shneur of Moscow in Monaco.

Ariana was one of the biggest pop stars in Russia when she was a teen winning 6 Russian Grammys and 3 Song of the year awards. Her platinum debut album sold over 500,000 copies!

Recently, Ariana and Lev have been inspired by Ariana's mother's and grandmother's recipes creating their first restaurant in the Soho/West Village area.

Lev Shneur was born in Moscow and also lived in Berlin as a child. The two have followed their hearts and love for both traditional and modern Russian Cuisine and craft Vodka with the opening of Ariana.

Unique and clever cocktails prepared by Orson Salicetti include infused specialty cocktails, martinis and vodka shots with smokey pineapple and coconut chasers served ice cold and incredibly refreshing. The Winter Pear is made with fresh pear juice, vodka, pear and maraschino liqueur, allspice elixir and sage.

Small plates include: Pickle salad with heirloom tomatoes with jicama and picked beets. Large plates include: 3 pan seared scallops with grapefruit and buckwheat puree.
