Pop star on the rise Ariana Grande's duet with The Wanted's Nathan Sykes, "Almost is Never Enough," surfaced online on Sunday. The sultry ballad sees the two sing about a love that was never fully realized.
Grande and Sykes' duet will be featured on the soundtrack for the upcoming film "The Mortal Instruments: City of Bones." It was teased in many snippets here and there, but now the song is out in full.
On the piano-driven R&B ballad, Grande and Sykes sing about a relationship that never ended up happening. The two singers deliver big vocal performances that drives home how madly in love they were with each other. Sadly Ariana sings, though, "If I would have known that you wanted me the way I wanted you then maybe we wouldn’t be two worlds apart." Grande gets even better with each song she releases and Sykes surprisingly keeps up with her powerful vocals.
"Almost is Never Enough" will also be on Grande's debut album, "Yours Truly," which drops on September 3. Sykes is currently promoting his latest single with The Wanted, "We Own the Night." "The Mortal Instruments: City of Bones" soundtrack will be released on August 20.
