A 39-year-old Argentine woman has died after reportedly self-injecting Vaseline into her breasts so that she could attempt to give herself a breast augmentation. "I've never seen a case like this. The human body has antibodies to remove bacteria and viruses, but it hasn't got any mechanisms against this type of product," head of surgery Julio Pla told La Capital.
Pla went on to say that other people need to realize that using Vaseline in this manner are "putting themselves in danger."
The Vaseline was said to have entered into the blood stream of Llanzon and caused the blood clots in her lungs.
