Who wants to see the inside of a working Wisconsin equestrian facility? The Horsemen’s Outfit, Inc., is throwing open their barn doors on Saturday, February 11th, for an open house.
The horse- and human-friendly festivities begin at 1 p.m. CST and run until 7 p.m. Equestrian activities are set to include:
2 p.m. – basic horsemanship skills and safety demonstrations
4 p.m. – cow-working and ranch roping demonstrations
6 p.m. – live music
Alfred Rice, a professional stock horse and Western horseback riding trainer and co-manager of The Horsemen’s Outfit, will lead the on-site demonstrations in the huge indoor arena. Rice is originally from South Dakota.
Live musical entertainment will be presented by The Rice Kids, a local sibling musical act, perhaps not coincidentally related to the barn manager.
Open house attendees can also look forward to touring the Iowa County equestrian facility during this free equestrian event, which is open to the public. Reservations are not required.
The Horsemen’s Outfit is located at 7053 Ray Hollow Road, in Arena, Wisconsin, approximately 30 miles west of Madison. Local residents may remember the facility, which used to be known as Falmouth Barn and is now operated by Alfred and Serena Rice and their family, along with Boe and Savanna Simmons.
