Arena Players present successful Broadway comedy 'Any Wednesday'

The Arena Players will present a production of Muriel Resnik's comedy 'Any Wednesday'at the Vanderbilt Museum Carriage House Theater in Centerport in January 2012.

A Broadway success, the show deals with classic situation: a millionaire businessman, his innocent mistress, his hoodwinked wife, and the millionaire's client. These four cross paths under unexpected and hysterical circumstances. Resnik also wrote the romantic comedy 'How Sweet It Is'.

'Any Wednesday' opens Friday, Jan. 6 and runs through Sunday, Jan. 29. Performances are at 8 p.m. on Friday and Saturday and 3 p.m. on Sunday. Tickets are $20 on Friday and Sunday and $25 on Saturday. 
 
When 'Any Wednesday' opened in 1964, it starred Sandy Dennis as the mistress, Ellen Gordon. In the movie version two years later, Jane Fonda played Gordon. For the Centerport production, the cast is as follows:
