Now, it's possible to find all your paranormal needs close to home instead of relying only on the internet. Wanda Kay just opened a ghost shop, tours and more shop just across the river in Wilder, Kentucky, only a few minutes from Newport. Ever want to see what all the hype is about with the increasingly popular paranormal activity? Then this is your chance to explore everything from investigation spots to ghost hunting equipment and educational materials.
Wanda has dedicated her life to the things that she loves the most, the paranormal, music and history of Bobby Mackey's current location, where she works as a paranormal tour guide and a DJ. This love and passion has prompted her to open her current shop. "I wanted a shop that would combine several businesses that I have been running over the last 30 years," Wanda said. "Services like haunted tours, haunted investigations, DJ services, bands and musicians for hire."
Located in the heart of a shopping center, this shop is far from ordinary. With her years of experience and in depth knowledge of Bobby Mackey's night club, her back room is dedicated to the spooky and unbelievable evidence that has been collected during investigations at this location. She has conducted personal interviews with living relatives or workers of the location to authenticate the occurrences. This evidence is displayed on the "Wall of Paranormal Shame." Stop by and sign your name and witness first hand the power of the paranormal.
Are you involved in a paranormal group and have a hard time finding a location to meet up or a place to review evidence as a group? Then this is the place for you. Conduct group meetings in the meeting room that can hold up to 40 people. It is a great place to hang with people who respect the nature of investigations.
Find what the future hold for you, every Sunday by receiving an affordable psychic readings by Teri Page and Ursula Kalin, Tarot card readings by Wiccan J-Me and Michele Leicestor or a spiritual reading by Angela Justic.
"I didn't become interested in the paranormal, it became interested in me when I was about 6 years old, when an angel would stand at the foot of my bed each night," Wanda said. "When I was 8 years old, I began having dreams about family and loved one's that would eventually come true. I grew up in a haunted 113 year old house six miles from Bobby Mackey. It eventually was swallowed up in a sink hole and no longer there."
Throughout the years, Wanda has witnessed things at Bobby Mackey's that some would think impossible. But her investigations are not limited to once location. She has conducted investigations at Sedamsville Rectory, The Wolf House, The Thompson House and Sandy Land Haunted Acres Cemetery and many more. Her personal experiences and tour guide endeavors have been captured in her recent books. "Wicked They Walk: The Tour Guide's Book" and "I Believe In Paranormal Things" can be purchased on-line or in her shop.
"I plan to add a bus tour to Waverly and the Ohio Reformatory next season," she continued.
In addition to the many items that can be purchased in her shop, Wanda is also incorporating her love of music. On Wednesday and Thursday nights beginning at 8 p.m., the ghost shop is transformed into a karaoke and line dancing heaven to help unwind from the stresses of life.
