I sure wasn't ready when I accepted the challenge from Piper McKenzie producer Jeff Lewonczyk to write for his project. "What?" I said with a smile.
Here was the assignment: "Each Dainty Cadaver will be the work of six writers, each of whom is responsible for ten minutes of stage time. Each writer only gets to see the scene that immediately precedes her own before taking the play in a new direction based on the available information. The fun is in seeing how differently things end compared to how they began and charting the circuitous journey from point A to point B in the company of an audience."
You should have seen the scene before mine! I mean how in the world could I possibly write anything to go with THAT? Well...I found a way; and after writing all night long, I realized that by golly I'd kept the story flowing. This Friday evening, I'm going to see the whole play (all six scenes) staged for the very first and only time. How absolutely titilating. Theater can be so much fun! Come join us. If you want to laugh even harder than you might, stop by Yola's Cafe before the show and get 2 for 1 priced authentic Mexican margaritas. Yum!
