This may seem a little bizarre, but I'm pretty sure it's true. Of course, I will give you the information needed to verify before you go, so here goes.
Maybe you'd like to see It's A Wonderful Life for the 50th time this holiday season. Why not do it with a bit of a twist? This year you can screen this classic holiday season movie for free with popcorn, refreshments and door prizes included.
What's the catch? The movie will be screened in the chapel at the French Funeral Chapel at 7121 Wyoming Boulevard N.E. on Thursday evening - be there at 5 p.m. Following the movie there will be a discussion with Gail Rubin of A Good Goodbye: Funeral Planning for Those Who Don't Plan to Die.
I'm not certain if you need reservations, but you might want to call Vicki Wilmarth at 843-6333 just to confirm your plans to attend. Or, email at VickiW@FrenchFunerals.com.
Sounds like a fun evening - or, at least, a different evening. Give it a shot - what have you got to lose?
