How often do you have a “dismissive” thought? Dismissive means, to dispel from one's mind; discard; reject. The question is how often do you dismiss or disregard your intuition? Intuition means, a keen and quick insight, knowledge or belief obtained neither by reason nor by perception. The answer is most of the time.
There are those who would believe that intuition is a gift given to the select few, like Psychics, and Truth Sayers or Metaphysicians, when in fact everyone is intuitive they just don’t know it or how to tap into it! There also those who believe this intuition stuff is a bunch of hocus pocus. They believe that people who do this stuff are demons or weirdo’s possessed by GOD, when in fact nothing could be further from the truth.
The truth of the matter is the people that don’t believe in intuition, therefore can’t acknowledge they have one especially when something goes wrong. I am sure you have said, or heard someone else say, I knew I should have done this the way I first thought, or I should have paid attention to my right mind, or something told me to do this or that this way and I didn’t pay attention!
The question becomes, if everyone has an intuition, then how do you learn to use it? The best way to tap into your intuition is to first acknowledge that you have one. Secondly, begin to listen and learn from it. Trusting the unknown or unfamiliar can be quite difficult and definitely scary, but, your instincts are intuit and they are there to assist you.
Unfortunately, the world is full of skeptics and those who would quickly condemn things they don’t understand or have never tried, and, would go to any length to discredit or disapprove of anything that goes against the status quo.
There are several reasons you don’t listen to your intuition, for example, your intuition can’t be proven rationally or scientifically. That means you can’t identify it through your 6 senses. But, the bible tells you, to walk by faith, not by sight, to believe all things are possible for those who love the Lord, and by tapping into what you know to be true and not what you believe to be true.
Another belief is when you listen to your intuition you know longer have control of your life. The truth is you are out of control most of the time. You are in constant connection to the pain of your past and/or the fear of your future, so much so that you are unwilling to release it and let go even when you know it is in your best interest.
When you pay attention, listen, and act in accordance with your intuition your life will get a whole lot better.
Remember, your intuition is the part of you that wants you to succeed. Your intuition always wants the highest and best for you. Your intuition will be the motivating force for good in your life, When You Listen To It!
Make the switch get Intuit instead of Into It! Get it?
