Howard Stern says the recent controversy over statements by Bill O'Reilly and Juan Williams on FOX News show that political correctness in America is out of control.
Stern, who is an admitted FOX News fan, defended both O'Reilly and Williams for that statements about why Americans fear members of the Muslim religion on Thursday's Howard Stern Show.
O'Reilly's statement last week that the "Ground Zero Mosque" is "inappropriate" because "Muslims killed us on 9/11" prompted The View co-hosts Whoopi Goldberg and Joy Behar to storm off the set of their own show

"It makes some people uncomfortable," said Stern in response the incident Monday. "Sorry."

Stern also spoke in support of Juan Williams, who was fired from NPR Wednesday after his comments The O'Reilly Factor that seeing Muslims in airports makes him "nervous".

"That's such an honest thing to say. Why would you fire someone for saying something like that?" said Howard Stern Thursday.
NPR reportedly fired Williams were inconsistent with their editorial standards for news analysts. News analysts for NPR are expected to remain objective and neutral.
Howard Stern said he believes that political correctness is "causing a problem" in America.
