However, the Bible gives a thorough description of what to look for in the end times. And even at that, the end would not yet come.
Jesus described in Matt. 24:37-38 that we would see evidence as it was in Noah's time. The public were eating, drinking, and marrying as if nothing was about to happen, until the time when God's judgment came upon the earth.
In that time people were mocking God, mocking God's prophets, and continued their vain fleshly lives of seeking temporal pleasures rather than the things of God.
In Luke 21 Jesus warned that many would come in His name proclaiming to either have His revelation or claiming to be Him. He said we would hear of wars and commotions of wars, Nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. He even warned of climate change, which is the earth going through growth pains. We will see several earthquakes in various places, and famines and pestilences; and there will be fearful sights and great signs from heaven.
But even then, do we in Albany have to fear an end of the earth just yet? Jesus said that the end would not yet be.
Next time we will discuss the events leading to the end of the earth as we know it.
