Ultimately, we choose our destiny freely, since we are gifted by Almighty God with both intellect and will. We are, furthermore, blessed by God's Providential grace with faith, hope, and charity, indwelling in the Holy Spirit, through obedience to Jesus Christ and His Church.
But we must not forget those spirits which tend to nudge us to good or to evil. Yes, angels and demons!

So, how can we differentiate there presence? Simple!
Demons tempt us to fear the unknown, otherwise known as anxiety! Demons tempt us to make mountains out of molehills, and monsters out of mice! Angels of God's hope, however, give us courage to face life's challenges!
Demons tempt us to disunity in animosity and rancor and jealousy and envy and revenge in burning bridges of friendship. Angels of the God who is Love, however, nudge us toward patience and compassion and long-suffering and repentance and acts which build (and rebuild) bridges in friendship.

Demons tempt us to put God in a box in prayers of petition which seek a timetable and an expected result. Angels of God's Divine Mercy, however, whisper of God's surprises and unexpected grace.
Demons tempt us to distort the 'Theology of the Body' in lust. Angels, of the Creator of all that is good, nudge us to respect our own body and the body of the human person of the opposite sex. Demons tempt of sex; angels sing of Love.
Demons tempt us through distractions and 'commitments' to avoid the Sacraments and the Holy Mass. Angels stir in us a desire for repentance, and the Real Presence of Jesus Christ in the Most Holy Eucharist.
Finally, demons recycle the same old lies! Angels, however, 'sing a new song to the Lord.'
