Taylor Swift may be one of the biggest stars in country music, but it seems that her parents may be pulling all the strings for career. That is what an April 8 story by Pagesix is suggesting. The story accuses Scott and Andrea Swift of being extremely difficult to work with, and may be having a negative effect on Taylor Swift’s career.

According to the PageSix article, Taylor’s parents have played a key role in driving away top management members at the company responsible for overseeing the country superstar. However, while it is not uncommon for parents of celebrities to play major roles in their careers, many have expressed concern about the dysfunction that Taylor Swift separated parents bring to her business matters.

Sources close to the matter claim that the parents are notoriously difficult to work with due to a couple of key factors. In addition to being particularly hard on staff members, it seems that they are in the habit of penny pinching while demanding the highest quality services possible.

Taylor’s parents are incredibly difficult to deal with. Their expectations are enormous, and they are very hard to please. They want to pay as little as possible and treat people like s–t, because they think those people are lucky to have the chance to work with a superstar like Taylor.”
