Most non-nudists have preconceived notions about the nudist lifestyle. Orgies and sexual activities are supposed to be the norm while walking around nude in public, right? That’s not exactly true.
Nudist parks and/or resorts are usually family oriented. That means that on any given day, you will see children of all ages running around playing and splashing in the pool-totally nude. It would be very inappropriate to engage in any sexual activity around them!
But, there are some parks and/or resorts that are ‘adult only’ and members must be at least 21 or over to join. These locations are not sponsored by the American Association for Nude Recreation (AANR). ANNR has ‘been the credible voice of reason for nude recreation since 1931’ and is the organization that gives guidance and educational information about nudist parks and resorts all over the world.
So if a park and/or resort is ‘adult only’ and not sponsored by AANR, chances are it’s a swingers hangout. Swingers are usually consenting adults that engage in gratuitous sex with friends & strangers- as couples (or singles) in small or large groups. And they are able to walk around nude at these locations but normally they wear suggestive clothing to enhance desire in the opposite sex. So yes, some swingers are nudists but not all nudists are swingers.
Can you see the difference between nudists and swingers now? True nudists are offended when anyone suggests that nudism has anything to do with sex and rightfully so. Being a nudist doesn’t mean that a person is not sexual, it just means that they chose to keep that part of their lives private.
