"When the secretary (Janet Napolitano) tells you that the numbers are at an all-time high, that’s straight, on the merits, no cooking of the books. . . .” - ICE Director John Morton
The nation's reporters and their editors, no strangers to carrying water for illegal aliens and their advocates, continue to mislead their audiences about the Obama administration's "record" deportations of illegal aliens.
If an "immigrant rights" organization says Obama, who is not squeamish about bypassing Congress in achieving his amnesty goals, is booting more illegals out of the country than his Oval Office predecessors, well, then it has to be true.
But is it?
The world has known, or at least that part of the world that cares about facts, since December 2010 that Obama has been fudging the figures in order to show those who respect the rule of law that he takes his oath of office seriously. In brief, what his administration has been doing is inflating deportation statistics by adding those individuals apprehended at the border and sent back within a matter of hours. Even Obama acknowledged that the figures are misleading.
Check out this fact sheet created by NumbersUSA, the 1.3 million-member, non-partisan grass roots immigration reduction group based in Arlington, Va. Pay close attention to what you read here and keep it in mind the next time your local newspapers runs a boilerplate sob story about Obama's "record" deportations.
And we bet that you believed Obama when he promised us a more "open and transparent" government." Speaking of same, have you seen this report about a "secret" House cabal putting together what would be the 8th amnesty for illegals since the 1986 "one-time-only" amnesty for 2.7 million illegals? Why the need for secrecy in Obamaland?
