Arctic Monkeys are heading to STAPLES Center as they hold a limited one night concert on August 7, 2014 at 7:30 p.m.

An indie rock band hailing from Sheffield, England, Arctic Monkeys include band members Alex Turner, Jamie Cook, Nick O’Malley, and Matt Helders. They recently released their fifth and newest album, AM (2013), which charted at number one on the UK Albums Chart and became the second fastest-selling album of the year behind Daft Punk. Their popular hit titled, “Do I Wanna Know” from the album is still the most played alternative song in the United States. Last month, the group received multiple honors at the BRIT Awards, taking home Best British Band and Album Of The Year. In addition, Arctic Monkeys won five awards at the NME Awards, which are voted by fans.

The band will perform a highly anticipated and popular show as a part of their 2014 U.S. Tour. The last time Arctic Monkeys played in Los Angeles this past fall, they sold out all three shows in an electric performance at The Wiltern.

Black Rebel Motorcycle Club will serve as the opening act for Arctic Monkeys at STAPLES Center. Known as an American rock band hailing from San Francisco, Calif., Black Rebel Motorcycle Club began in 1998 by a couple of musicians who met in high school. A variety of their hits such as “Howl” and “Whatever Happened to My Rock ‘N Roll” have been featured in several movies, TV series, TV commercials, and video games.
