Arctic Monkeys hang onto Number One again this week

See also

Despite a significant loss of approximately 850,000 impressions compared to the previous tracking period, the Arctic Monkeys’ “Do I Wanna Know?” holds on to Number One for the eleventh week on the All Access Alternative Rock Chart. (Yes, the weeks on top had been miscounted last week, and the total was corrected after publishing.) Also of note, the number two song, the Kongos “Come With Me Now” impression total increases by an astounding 1.6 million from the previous tracking period. This shrinks the Arctic Monkeys’ advantage over the number two song to less than half of the difference in impressions between the top two tracks last week. The biggest gainer this week is the Black Keys’ Fever, which blasts onto the chart at number six with nine million impressions in just its first week of release.

A note from the reporter about this week’s chart

This list gives the Top 50 Alternative Rock Songs, according to Mediabase and All Access, for the week of March 23 to March 29. Note: Due to current software limitations I am working to overcome, I am only including this week’s position, the artist, the title, and total impressions (in millions) for the week, with a “+” if impressions increased, and a “—“ if impressions decreased.

The way everything appeared last week, despite the best of my abilities, looked confusing and hard to comprehend. Once I can fix this issue, I will provide all of the data I had before to show how the songs are trending from week to week, and how long the songs have been on the chart. For further chart details, please visit the All Access website.
