Ever since 2007 when Al Gore received a Nobel Prize for a suspect global warming alert, there have been ongoing doomsday sayings concerning rising oceans from a disappearing ice cap. Even the BBC, a prestigious news agency, shrilly declared in 2007 that the Arctic ice cap would disappear in 2013.
Here we are in 2013 and not only do we still have an Arctic ice cap, but it has increased in size by 60% in one year according to measurements done by satellite images according to another British news agency, The Daily Mail.

Since the Arctic ice cap increased by a whopping 60% in only one year will further fuel the global warming issue even more. Skeptics to the claims of global warming will expect warnings of an ice age coming from the same pundits touting global warming.
Those subscribing to an old earth of billions of years have articulated that the Earth has gone through cycles of warming and cooling long before man came upon the scene. There has been a marked increase in carbon dioxide levels which is a cause of major concern, but it is unclear if global temperature increases are the sole result of higher CO2 levels.
Issues of climate change and global warming have been politically motivated according to some skeptics. One environmentalist website called “350.org” proposes naming hurricanes after doubtful politicians who do not believe in climate change. The interpretation of climate change is one thing which clearly happens, but global warming is quite another. Arguments whether the Earth is going through a periodic cycle of cooling or warming should be based on scientific data and not hyperbole.
The complexity of the Arctic ice cap and the southern polar ice provides puzzling readings. While the south recorded it most packed ice ever last year, the Artic had receded to an extremely low record compared to other modern findings. The 60% jump in growth for the Arctic ice just complicates what this jump really means, an impending ice age perhaps? The huge increase of the Arctic ice cap is allegedly due to a lot more fresh water from ice melting in Greenland which contributed to lower saline content in the water, thus it is easier for the water to freeze. This does not fully explain the 60% increase of ice to the Arctic compared to last year. If the ice melted by 60% in one year, there would be howls to substantiate global warming from the same pundits.
One big issue is global warming alarmists typically use only Northern Hemispheric information to pump up global warming, which means it is not global. While there was ongoing pointing at the northern polar ice cap, the global warming crowd ignored the southern ice cap which grew to historic highs while the Arctic cap did shrink.
The Bible does not discuss global warming specifically, however one of the plagues of the tribulation period which the sun will become abnormally hot and Earth inhabitants will curse God as a reaction is talked about in Revelation. The Arctic polar cap making such a spectacular comeback has caught global warming believers by surprise, however what it really means is also subject to debate.
One thing is certain, BBC’s claims that the Arctic ice cap will completely disappear demonstrates that a lot more fear than science is driving the global warming signal callers.
