Arctic high pressure over the Saint Lawrence River Valley will continue to funnel in cold air into the New York City and Philadelphia metropolitan areas over the next several days.
A few scattered snow flurries will be possible through the weekend, otherwise scattered clouds can be expected. Winds will be from the west at 5 to 15 mph with gusts over 20 mph at times leading to wind chills in the 20's and lower 30's. Temperatures will range from the upper 20's to mid 30's for highs and mid 10's to upper 20's for lows through Saturday. The coldest conditions will be over the northern interior.
High pressure will remain in control Sunday on through Wednesday with slowly moderating temperatures. Scattered clouds can be expected through the forecast period with a slight threat for a passing flurry. Fog may be a threat in the morning hours as well. High temperatures will range from the upper 30's to mid 40's. Low temperatures will range from the mid to upper 20's.
