ArcLight Cinemas in Los Angeles is conducting a vote for films to be included in its upcoming Documentary Film Festival, to be held at its Hollywood cinema on November 7-11, 2011. Using a great idea that incorporates the "will of the people" and democracy, ArcLight has set up a vote on Facebook and Youtube where everyone can "like" their favorite entry. The top 10 most "liked" videos will be chosen for the film festival. Voting closes on Sunday, December 23rd.
Readers of this column may be aware that one of the entries in this contest - and hopefully in the film festival itself! - a fascinating documentary called "God in the Box," features me and my work. Naturally, I am encouraging everyone to take this fantastic opportunity and "like" this wonderful film of producer Nathan Lang and his terrific crew, who worked so hard and so long on this excellent effort.
Appreciative readers can vote for "God in the Box" on the ArcLight Facebook page.
You can also watch and "like" the film's trailer on ArcLight's Youtube channel.
"God in the Box" has been climbing the ranks and hopefully will be featured at the film festival, which promises to be a relevant and important event.
I truly believe this film is extremely important for our day and age, when mutual understanding and acceptance are becoming increasingly vital to our global society.
