Archnemesis looks forward to an electro-soul-hip-hop party at The Bottleneck!

The next big party is coming to town this Wednesday and you are invited! Archnemesis will be making their first visit to The Bottleneck on the 27th to play some of their best and biggest hits and new material for everyone to rage to!

The duo of Curt Heiny and Justin Aubuchon are an eclectic pair of life-long musicians with a lot to offer music lovers. As a growing presence in the EDM scene, Archnemesis is still evolving and expanding their catalog.

"Our music is an ever changing entity," Curt said. "We're constantly hearing new tracks that friends are putting out, listening to the radio and learning how to do new things within the music we're creating. We think we've solidified the Archnemesis sound in the current EDM scene, but we're always trying to figure out ways to change and develop it further. We're never satisfied and always pushing ourselves."

Archnemesis is something for everyone, from old blues and jazz to the latest hip-hop and soul. Justin and Curt listen to all kinds of music to find their inspiration.

"We really listen to everything," Curt said. "There's so much good music out there it would be confining to listen to just one genre or style. We listen to everything from Dr. Dre to Pink Floyd to Katy Perry to Outkast. Each genre has its own production style, and we try to pull from each one and apply it to our overall sound. We think our music is influenced by all of it in some way or another."

The driving force behind the music is a devotion to creation and the inspiration that comes from friends and fans.

"It's what we've always felt and done in our lives. We're both classically trained musicians and both studied jazz so playing music is just what we know," Curt said. "There's always that inner drive to create new music and push the boundaries of what we know how to do, and that's inspiration in itself. We're also inspired by our fans and the feedback we receive from them, knowing we're able to make them happy through doing something that we love!"

Last year Archnemesis opened for Rusko at Liberty Hall and played the after-party show at the Granada. Some time before that, they supported MiM0SA at the Granada. The show this Wednesday will be their first time playing The Bottleneck.

"We love being out on tour playing music for all of the crazy people out there. It's an amazing thing to be able to do what we love for a living and support ourselves, and we're so thankful for all the support and love we get from our fan base," Curt said. "It's also remarkable to see how our music affects people in a positive way, and watching people embrace and enjoy what we've spent so much time on creating is a beautiful thing!"

Wednesday, February 27th, Archnemesis will be playing with opener Dread Headed Slut at The Bottleneck. Doors open at 8 p.m. Music starts at 9. Tickets are $10 in advance. Do not miss the chance to rage it at the best party in town!

"We're so thankful for all the love and support we get from all our fans!" Curt said. "It means so much to us! We're always going to be evolving musically and our fans are always so open to anything we do. We're definitely going to be throwing down some new material in Lawrence and look forward to seeing how it's received. It's gonna be a party either way! We love you Nemesis Army!"
