Arcade Fire have posted an audio sample of new music under the album name "Reflektor."
According to an article posted Sept. 2 at NME.com, the Canuck indie rockers have released a 15-second clip on Spotify titled "9 p.m. 9/9," under the album name "Reflektor," the presumed title of the Grammy-winning band's upcoming fourth studio release.
The brief audio sample reveals a wash of synths with no vocals.
The " 9 p.m. 9/9" date teaser links to the band's recent "Reflektor" logo marketing campaign, and may mean that Arcade Fire will release new music, announce details of their album or make an appearance in a week's time.
Last month, Arcade Fire were credited in a movie trailer with contributing the soundtrack to director Spike Jonze's upcoming film "Her," which is set to hit theatres on Nov. 20.
The Montreal based band also recently announced they will head to Australia in January 2014 as part of Big Day Out touring festival.
Did you know? Arcade Fire frontman Win Butler performed with The Rolling Stones as special guest at the band's 50 and Counting tour stop in Montreal, QC earlier this year.
