According to an article posted Oct. 25 at CBC.ca, the Canuck indie rockers decided to post a full preview of the highly anticipated fourth studio album after Rollercoaster Records store in Ireland jumped the gun and began selling copies ahead of the official release date.
Low fidelity posts of the album began appearing online and news of the leak began spreading online via fan site Arcade Fire Tube, prompting the Montreal based Grammy winners to offer a free stream from its official website at Arcadefire.com via YouTube.com.
'Reflektor' is officially due to hit shelves in Canada and the U.S. on Oct. 28.

Win Butler and company will perform on Oct. 26 at Neil Young's Bridge School Benefit in Mountainview, Calif. at Shoreline Amphitheater, and will stage an album release performance on Oct. 29 from Capitol Studios in Los Angeles, as part of MTV Iggy and Intel's "The Music Experiment 2.0" concert series.
CBC Music and NPR will stream the hour-long performance of songs from Reflektor, beginning at 10 p.m. ET.
