  • Announcement Update as of May 30: Arapahoe Basin will also be open June 13-15 and 20-22. The resort hopes to announce additional dates that would keep the resort open through July 4 for the sixth time in its history.

After operating daily through Sunday, Arapahoe Basin Ski Area in Colorado plans to reopen for the weekend of June 6-8, from 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. each day. Depending on conditions, even more additional time may still be added to the season, according to the resort’s website.

Lift tickets for the bonus weekend will be $49 for adults, $39 for youth (ages 15-18), and $29 for children (ages 6-14). Children 5 and under can ski for free.

The resort located on the Continental Divide has received about 450 inches for the season, well above its annual average of 350 inches. On Wednesday, the ski area reported spring conditions and a mid-mountain base of 70 inches.

Generally the first Colorado resort to open and the last to close, Arapahoe Basin has a reputation for a festive springtime atmosphere at “The Beach,” a line of parking spaces and grilling area close to the base-area chairlifts. The recently renovated 6th Alley Bar and Grill is another hot spot for après-ski activity.
