Arab attack on French church stirs controversy

Vulgar language ignored by media...

Muslim attacks on Christian churches are rapidly becoming a normal occurrence in Muslim/Arab nations, with Egypt and Iraq being the most notable.

But attacks on churches in western Europe is almost unheard of, until now.

As reported by the Agence France-Presse (AFP) via Le Parisien, a French church in the small northern town of Escaudain has been vandalized by unknown assailants armed with cans of spray paint.

AFP reports that graffiti insulting the President of France, Nicolas Sarkozy, as well as the nationalist political party the National Front.

As quoted by AFP, the town's mayor Jacky Laure (Parti Communiste Français) stated:
"These tags are challenging the President of the Republic and the National Front (...) Whether or not favorable to the President, stop insulting people like that.

Mayor Laure also stated that "A complaint is pending."

The Rest Of The Story...

But the PittsReport.com noted that the AFP failed to report on the anti-French and pro-Moroccan messages of the vandals.

As shown on the photograph (left), the graffiti translates to (self-censored) "F*** France", "F*** FN" [Front National], "Sarko[zy] we f*** you", "Death to the Pigs", "Morocco Power!"
