April showers movement fun for children

The month of April is thought of as the month of spring rains. Have the children think of all the various things associated with being in the rain, such as: umbrellas, windshield wipers, puddle jumping, dodging the rain drops, playing and splashing in puddles, catching raindrops, etc. Have the children bring these rain themed ideas to life by acting them out through movement. The children can create movement phrases by connecting several of these ideas and move them in a sequence (8 counts each movement and then repeat the phrase). Add music to make it more fun.
