April round up: Boulder

As spring warms winter's chill out of our bones, Boulder offers plenty of April events to get us out and about.

The Boulder County Farmers' Markets made their spring debut this morning to partly cloudy skies and a promising spring breeze. The Boulder market is a great time of community, food and music in Boulder and Longmont. The Markets will continue each Saturday, 8 a.m. to 2 p.m., until November 16, and on Wednesdays, May 1 to October 2, 4 p.m. to 8 p.m.

On April 19, the Boulder Theater will be hosting the 21st annual Microbrews for the Environment, which brings together 20 local microbreweries to raise funds for local environmental causes. Enjoy a night of music and $2 pints. Admission is $22. Visit Boulder Theater to purchase tickets.

On Sunday, April 21, Central Park in Boulder will host the 12th annual Wild Earth Day. Go out for a fun day of entertainment and learn about our world.

As always, check out Downtown Boulder's ongoing events like free concerts, tours and social gatherings. Or get outdoors with Open Space and Mountain Park's free hikes and activities for kids. It's spring, so get out there!
