Apps to help us keep our New Year's resolutions (Video)

We are a month into 2013, and hopefully it has been a good one so far. We must ask ourselves an important question about something we did on January 1st. “Are we keeping up with our New Year’s resolutions?”

We made promises to ourselves and to others to exercise more this year, travel, stay up on current world matters, be more organized, and the list goes on.

Today though I will present a few apps on the Google Play Market and App Store that focus on being more organized and keeping a work out routine.

Organizer ($7.99 for iPhone, iPad and iPod touch)

A real organizer. Enter text or events, create diagrams, use emoji, insert pictures or maps, or enter contacts in this app with great aesthetics. Record and play your voice to hear and save messages. App syncs with "Calendar" app and has cloud integration. Looks like paper and is so easy to use. From Aesthology Inc.

Cozi Family Organizer (Free for iPhone, iPad and iPod touch)

Manage everything for your family with the Cozi Family Organizer. Do you have a busy family, and is it hard to keep up with everything? This award-winning app will let you keep a calendar, a shopping list and a family journal. There is an in-app purchase that even makes this app more powerful. The Cozi calendar, shopping lists, to do lists and family journal are accessible from any mobile device or computer by visiting cozi.com.

Endomondo Sports Tracker ($4.99 for Android)

This is an ideal sports app for running, cycling, walking and any other distance-based activity. 13 million users strong with this app. A ton of 5-star reviews for this app. Give it a try.

Fitness Buddy (Currently 99 cents for Android)

An app recommended by ESPN magazine. 1700+ unique exercises at your disposal with Fitness Buddy. Fitness Buddy will keep track of your training routine. Athletes will find the workout tracking process simple and easy in order to keep your motivation and achieve your goals. Also over 1000 videos are included to demonstrate the exercises.

TripIt (Free for iOS and Android)

If you travel at all, you need TripIt. TripIt “automagically” takes all your trip details and creates one organized itinerary that’s there when and where you need it. TripIt keeps all your travel information on Android or iOS device.

Flipboard (Free for iOS and Android)

It's been out for a few years, but Flipboard remains my favorite news feed app. Flipboard is actually a personal news magazine filled with everything you care about that is shared across the web, from breaking news to stories on world events, sports, travel, social media and more. Download the Flipboard app, set your preferences and start enjoying the ease and power of Flipboard.
