Appliance Factory Outlet & Mattresses: Honoring Those Who Serve

DENVER, CO— As we celebrate this Memorial Day, local retailer Appliance Factory Outlet & Mattresses is honoring those who have fallen in service and those who serve that are in need by launching a program that provides replacements of non-working appliances to low-income or in-need military families in Colorado through a partnership with Colorado Springs-based non-profit The Home Front Cares.

According to the Pikes Peak Quality of Life Index, there are approximately 30,000 military families living in El Paso County as of 2010, many of them in need. The Home Front Cares has served over 1,600 military families through emergency rent, utility and other financial assistance programs and founded the Welcome Home GWOT Heroes program, which supports welcoming events for returning service members and their families as well as memorial services and special needs services for wounded warriors.

Appliance Factory Outlet & Mattresses is proud to partner with The Home Front Cares to launch a program that will help military families who are deeply affected by deployment and military life. The company provides similar support to Denver-based non-profit Veterans Green Jobs which assists veterans in finding meaningful employment through sustainable industries, and is delighted about expanding its efforts to include The Home Front Cares.
