Jazz fans will sad to learn that the annual AppleJazz Festival has been canceled for this year. Such a beloved and traditional family event will indeed be missed this year.
Now, be happy for the reason that it has been canceled; the events organizer’s daughter is graduating high school at that time and the scheduling conflicts are the only reason for the one year hiatus. She has grown up right in front of many of you!
In their words: “Please mark your calendars for our 30th Anniversary next year. The band and the pavilion are booked for May 31, 2014.”
Such a classy move by not wanting to give less of an event to the fans and an even classier move putting their daughter, Lauren-Jessica, at the forefront of their plans; we’ll miss you all this year but we certainly understand. See you next year AppleJazz! And congratulations Lauren-Jessica!
