It can be difficult to find a meal for two for $20 anywhere, especially if you don't know where to look and chances are, you're not going to look to Applebees. Most chain restaurants get a bad criticism because the food is mass produced, high in calories and tasteless, but Applebees has a different quality than the normal chain restaurant.

You can always count on Applebees for a good meal and not only do they let you know of their low calorie and weight-watchers options but what foods tend to be favorites all for a reasonable price. Something relatively new is the 2 for $20 special. With this special, two people have the option of one appetizer and two entries for $20.

The appetizers include some of Applebee's Favorites such as mozarella sticks, onion rings, spinach artichoke dip and boneless buffalo wings, all of which are regularly over $5.00 (buffalo wings are usually priced at $8.29). Therefore, the appetizer alone makes this special a great deal.

For entries, the options are the riblet basket, oriental chicken salad, chicken tender basket, bacon cheseburger, three-cheese chicken penne, fiesta lime chicken and 7oz house sirloin (which can be upgrade to a 9oz for a small price). Paired with an appetizer, this is a perfect sized meal for a dinner for two for a very reasonable price. Especially if you order the 7oz house sirloin. Where else can you get a juicy great-tasting sirloin for around $8?

For most specials for a dinner for 2 involves the not so favorite items on the menu. Applebees doesn't skimp and makes the most favorite items available for a lesser price.

What's great about a chain restaurant like Applebees is that you get a higher quality meal for a cheaper price. Check out this great deal and maybe even try something new on the menu that you've never had before!!
