Apple has filed a lawsuit against supplier, competitor Samsung over the likeness of Samsung’s Galaxy line of products compared to Apple products.
“Rather than innovate and develop its own technology and a unique Samsung style for its smart phone products and computer tablets, Samsung chose to copy Apple’s technology, user interface and innovative style in these infringing products”
As you can see in the lawsuit pictures here, they do show a striking similarity in hardware and software.
Samsung this morning issued a response stating:
“Apple is one of our key buyers of semiconductors and display panels. However, we have no choice but respond strongly this time”
Apple is Samsung’s second largest customer being responsible for 4% of Samsung’s $142 billion in revenue last year.
